The temperatures are always high in Costa Rica. The coldest month is January with an average maximum temperature of 31°C. A lot of rain falls in the month from May to October with September being the rainiest. Guanacaste has dry periods in January, February, March and December with March being the warmest month.
December through April is the dry season since there is not a lot of rainfall. The dry season is also the high season as many snowbirds escape to warmer weather. While the high season is the most popular travel time.
May through November is the green season, a favourite among Costa Rica Experts. The green season typically experiences sunny mornings and afternoon rain showers. There are many perks of traveling in the rainy season like discounted hotel rates, fewer crowds, and more active wildlife.
Two witnesses are required to be present at the ceremony. If the two of you are traveling alone, your hotel or wedding consultant will provide the required witnesses. Most travelers who get married in Costa Rica do so in a civil ceremony officiated by a local lawyer. After the ceremony, the lawyer records the marriage with Costa Rica’s National Registry, which issues an official marriage certificate. This process generally takes between 4 and 6 weeks. Most lawyers or wedding coordinators then have the document translated and certified by the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry and at the embassy or consulate of your home country before mailing it to you. Make sure you take all your legal paperwork like birth certificates and Le Apostille stamps from your home country consulate.
