Travel Seasons in Papagayo Peninsula
Costa Rica has different travel seasons than other destinations. In Costa Rica, they go by Dry Season and Green Season. Both of them have their pros and cons, so it’s up to you to decide the best time to have your wedding in Papagayo based on what kind of destination wedding you imagine.

December through April is the dry season. The dry season is also the high season as many snowbirds make their escape to the tropics, and there is less rainfall. While the high season is the most popular travel time

May through November is the green season, a favourite among Costa Rica Experts. The green season typically experiences sunny mornings and afternoon rain showers. There are many perks of traveling in the rainy season like discounted hotel rates, fewer crowds, and more active wildlife.

Requirements to
Get Married in Papagayo Peninsula

Two witnesses are required to be present at the ceremony. If the two of you are traveling alone, your hotel or wedding consultant will provide the required witnesses. Most travelers who get married in Costa Rica do so in a civil ceremony officiated by a local lawyer. After the ceremony, the lawyer records the marriage with Costa Rica’s National Registry, which issues an official marriage certificate. This process generally takes between 4 and 6 weeks. Most lawyers or wedding coordinators then have the document translated and certified by the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry and at the embassy or consulate of your home country before mailing it to you. Make sure you take all your legal paperwork like birth certificates and Le Apostille stamps from your home country consulate.
